County delays can be a challenging aspect of background screening when you're trying to hire quickly. Delays can occur for a number of reasons - staffing shortages at the counties, redaction of key identifiers, technology issues and natural disasters. The list below contains known counties experiencing delays and may not be all inclusive with the changing environment.

We've tried to provide context where available, but if you have more questions, please message our support team directly using the purple chat icon in the bottom right-hand corner of this screen.


Hurricane Helene and Milton has caused court closures and emergency conditions in numerous states today: AL, FL, GA, KY, NC, SC, TN, VA, WV Please expect delays, especially in the more rural areas.

In March 2024, the Court has redacted Date of Birth info, so requests need additional information to validate. Because of this, files need to be ordered for every possible name match and verified by the court clerk.

Ransomware attack occurred on court systems. No ETA on when automation will be available.
