Logging into your Yardstik account should be a breeze, but if you're having trouble, here are a few resources that might help.
First time login, how do I set this up?
Go to yardstik.com and click Sign Up.
Use the email address that received the “New User Access” email.
Create a password, enter your name, and click Sign Up.
Check your inbox and click Confirm My Account in the verification email.
Authentication Setup
Choose Your Method:
You can authenticate with either:
Authenticator App
Text Message (SMS)
Authenticator app
On the Log In page, enter your credentials.
Register an authenticator app (like Google, Microsoft, or LastPass).
Open the app and tap + or Add Account.
Scan the QR code shown on your computer screen.
Enter the 6-digit code generated by the app to finish logging in.
✅ You’ll only scan the QR code once. Next time, just open your app and enter the 6-digit code.
Text Message (SMS)
New users: Click “I’d rather use SMS” under the QR code to receive a code via text.
Existing users: If you’ve previously used an authenticator app and want to switch to SMS, contact support via the purple chat icon. Ask to reset MFA so the “I’d rather use SMS” option appears.
You will see the I'd rather use SMS prompt below the QR code | Then enter your phone number to receive a text message.

Logging back in
To keep your account secure, Yardstik requires all users to complete a fresh login every 12 hours. This means you’ll log in once per workday and remain active throughout the day. The next day, you’ll simply log in again.
After entering your email and password, you'll be asked to verify your identity with your chosen MFA method (either an authenticator app or text message).
Note: If you check the “Remember this browser” box during MFA:
You can skip MFA for 30 days on the same browser and device.
If you switch browsers, devices, or use incognito/private mode, MFA will still be required.
After 30 days, MFA will be required again—even on the same browser.
⚠️ You’ll always need to enter your email and password after 12 hours, regardless of the "Remember this browser" setting.
Troubleshooting Login
Try the following if you run into issues:
Ensure your phone and computer are in the same time zone.
If you see multiple Yardstik accounts in your authenticator app, delete duplicates—use the latest code.
Account Admins can reset MFA for users needing help. Once reset, SMS authentication will be available again. If you need to reset your MFA, you can reach out to your account owner.
Common Questions
What is MFA?
Multi-factor authentication protects your account with both a password and a one-time code sent to your secure device.
Having trouble scanning the QR code?
Click “Trouble Scanning?” to manually enter the key. Save this key in a secure password manager.
Using a shared user account?
Each admin needing access must use the same one-time code setup process. Once configured, all users can log in using the same authenticator code.
Will MFA affect API integrations?
No changes for API users—key-based access remains the same. Only the Yardstik dashboard will prompt for MFA.
How often do I need to re-authenticate?
You can choose to remember your device for 30 days after entering the 6-digit code.
It is important to note that clicking "Remember this browser" will only affect the MFA reset. You will still have to "re-authenticate" (log in) every 12 hours.
Got a new phone?
Reinstall the authenticator app and repeat the Authentication steps above to set up access on your new device.
