You've entered your personal information, and maybe even provided additional information after we've asked for it (thank you for that!). And your background check was still canceled. Here are a few reasons why that may have happened:
The Social Security Number (SSN) you provided could not be verified, and your address history did not pull. You also did not respond to the info request to confirm your information within 14 days.
The Social Security Number (SSN) you provided could not be verified and subsequently there is no address history associated with that SSN. We cannot validate the information provided.
We requested that you confirm or update a piece of information that you provided. However, after 14 days we did not receive a response from you. Per policy, reports are canceled after 14 days of no response.
Your Year of Birth (YOB) on the SSN trace was issued before you were born, and you did not respond to the info request to confirm your Date of Birth.
You have a current international address.
Your current address is outside of the United States, and we do not process international background checks at this time.
You stated you are no longer interested in the position.
The company you applied to requested that we cancel your background check.
What can be done after my report is canceled?
Once a report has been canceled, it cannot be undone. A new invitation will need to be sent at the discretion of your hiring company. We recommend you reach out to the company you are applying with for the next steps!
