Why am I being asked for more information?

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Did you receive an email from Yardstik that your report needs attention? Or that it cannot be processed as is?

Simply put, we need to verify your information. It could be a simple number typo or name misspelling, or it could be that the information you originally provided and what we received are inconsistent.

All you need to do is log in to profile.yardstik.com, and you will be prompted with the information you need to update or upload. Click here for detailed help with this process.

SSN (Social Security Number) request

A valid US Social Security Number (SSN) is required in order to process your background check. We are not able to process your background check with

  • an EIN (an IRS-generated Employer Identification Number)

  • an ITIN (an IRS-generated Individual Tax Identification Number)

  • a passport number

Driver's License Request

While we are requesting a driver's license, a different government-issued document with your full name and date of birth will also be accepted.

A separate document or form

I live in Georgia

We are processing a part of your background check with the state of Georgia, which requires that you complete their specific form.

The form is available when you log in to profile.yardstik.com

I live in Pennsylvania

We are processing a motor vehicle report (MVR), and in order to complete that, the state of Pennsylvania requires that you complete the form provided in your profile.

While you can complete it electronically, the signature portion must be in electronic or ink cursive. The form will not be accepted if there is a typed signature.

The form is available when you log in to profile.yardstik.com

Please note, if we do not receive the updated information, your report will be processed as is and may result in cancelation.
